On September 23, 2009, Richmond Jewish Foundation, in cooperation with Hirschler Fleischer, will present the 4thAnnual Edward S. Hirschler Memorial Professional Advisors Seminar. This year’s seminar will focus on Donor Advised Funds and a panel discussion about estate planning. Doreen Fundiller-Zweig, executive director of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, Inc., will be the guest speaker. Prior to joining the Jewish Community Foundation in 1993, Fundiller-Zweig was a practicing attorney with Robinson & Cole in Hartford, Connecticut. There, her practice focused on estate and charitable gift planning and business and tax law for nonprofit organizations. During her 11 years with the firm, Fundiller-Zweig represented health care, educational and social services institutions, charitable trusts, private foundations and other charities.
The free seminar will be held at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Registration and breakfast are from 7:30 to 8 a.m. The Seminar runs from 8 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. This is a free event, with no registration fees. Two hours of CLE or CPE are also available. Shortly after Edward Hirschler’s death, the Richmond-based law firm he co-founded, Hirschler Fleischer, established the Edward S. Hirschler Memorial Charitable Endowment Fund through the Richmond Jewish Foundation. The Edward S. Hirschler Memorial Charitable Endowment Fund provides an annual seminar to enhance educational opportunities relating to charitable giving and estate planning for legal and financial professionals.
