Richmond Jewish Foundation is currently seeking a President & CEO.
RJF is a primary, trusted and expert resource for planned giving and endowments. The President/CEO’s primary duties are to create permanent resources by which RJF may enhance the life and education of the Jewish community in Richmond, Virginia and world Jewry. The CEO is responsible for arranging with individuals, families, and businesses to establish lifetime gifts, deferred giving programs, and bequests to RJF and for securing permanent endowments to support the missions and goals of RJF and its affiliates.
The RJF President/CEO is responsible for managing the Foundation’s staff, representing the board at all community events, works with the RJF Board and affiliate boards, manages all development efforts, marketing, administrative, fiscal, investments, and procedures.
The President/CEO must have a broad understanding of the history and aspirations of the Jewish people and how the various Jewish community agencies and synagogues interact. Must have fundraising experience focused on building endowments and an understanding of planned giving.
A Bachelor’s Degree and at least eight (8) years’ experience or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates qualification for the position. CPA, CLU, CFA and/or LLB related experience preferred, but not mandated.
